Assistant Construction Project Manager Job for Foreigners

Overview

Webuild, an international leader in civil engineering and construction for over 120 years, is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to join its team in Canada. With a strong Italian heritage and a global presence, Webuild specializes in complex infrastructure projects that enhance sustainable mobility, hydropower, water, and green building sectors. This role involves working on the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line (Pape North Connect), an exciting and innovative project contributing to the future of sustainable urban transport.

Specific Skills
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3
  • Work on globally recognized, sustainable infrastructure projects.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet objectives.
Responsible For
  • Collaborate with the Construction Project Manager to ensure seamless project execution aligned with goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the precision and efficiency of project execution, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, deliver presentations, and document minutes to ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Coordinate monthly reports for clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication on project progress.
  • Provide technical guidance to contractors by interpreting plans, specifications, and details.
  • Develop and manage 3-week look-ahead schedules to proactively address potential challenges.
  • Track labor costs, quantities, and expenditures to generate accurate cost reports and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Manage procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory and project standards.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports on work progress and manage the Request for Information (RFI) process to resolve queries efficiently.
  • Ensure construction activities meet engineering standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Participate in health and safety programs to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Provide on-site support during construction phases, addressing technical issues.
  • Prepare and manage contract documents and drawings for guiding construction activities.
Additional Requirements
  • Experience with utility diversions, piling, slabs, walls, MEP coordination, and other civil works.
  • Coordination of construction activities for roads, grading, pavement, landscaping, drainage, traffic, and utilities.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, including scope, schedule, cost, and quality management.
 
Job Location
Canada
Salary
CAD 85,000 to CAD 110,000 and benefits package based on experience and qualifications.
