Nursing Assistant (Visa Sponsorship Available)

Overview

Toronto Health Services, a leading healthcare provider in the region, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nursing Assistant to join their team. You will be an essential part of the healthcare team, supporting registered nurses in delivering high-quality patient care across various medical settings.

Schedule

8 to 12-hour shifts with flexibility
Available shifts: Day, evening, night, and weekend
Monday to Friday
On-call shifts and overtime as needed

Specific Skills

Required Experience:

- Long-term care: 1 year
- Hospital or clinic experience: 1 year
- Patient support: 1 year
Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent is a plus.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification preferred.
Strong communication skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and mobility assistance.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced env

Responsible For

Assist registered nurses with patient care activities, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining medical records.
Support patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
Aid patients with mobility, including safe transferring and repositioning.
Prepare patients for medical procedures and assist healthcare professionals during examinations.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, especially those with chronic conditions.
Ensure a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to provide comprehensive care.
Report any changes in patients’ conditions promptly to the nursing team.

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent training (preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification (preferred but not mandatory)
