Specific Skills

Certified plumber under the Apprenticeship and Tradesmen Qualification Act, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or commercial setting.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of plumbing systems, including water, sewage, steam piping, and HVAC systems.
Knowledge of Ontario Building Code standards related to plumbing.
Strong communication skills and the ability to respond to guest requests and perform maintenance work in guest rooms and public areas.
WHMIS and OHSA certification required.

Responsible For

Performing routine inspections, repairs, and installations of plumbing infrastructure, including potable water systems, sewage lines, and kitchen equipment.
Troubleshooting issues related to plumbing, HVAC systems, and building mechanics.
Overseeing the work of contractors and ensuring compliance with hotel standards and local building codes.
Managing the hotel’s plumbing inventory, ensuring adequate supplies are on hand.
Collaborating with in-house teams and external contractors on renovation and retrofitting projects.
Responding to emergency maintenance requests from guests and ensuring minimal disruption to their experience.
